The Wagon Wheel, located in DeRidder, Louisiana, was constructed from spruce log siding.  The corners were made by laminating two by eight spruce lumber and log siding together to create the illusion of logs.

Newton Log Homes offers Engelmann Spruce and Aspen log siding  in six and eight inch widths.  The thickness of the siding is two inches.

Log siding is a beautiful addition to your log, or traditional home.  As shown in the picture above, log siding can be used to create the illusion of a round log on interior walls.

At left, log siding and stone conceal the golf cart garage and storage room. Log siding is used in the study, at right, to add dimension and comfort.

Aspen and Spruce log siding is priced at $875 per thousand board feet for lap-n-gap, and $950 per thousand board feet for log siding trim (available only in 2x6).

In order to calculate the board feet needed and the cost, multiply the total square feet to be covered by 1.30, then multiply by 2.  This will yield the total board feet needed to cover the wall space. Then multiply by .875 (the cost per board foot).  This equation equals the total cost in dollars.

A down-payment of half of the total cost is required to order your log siding.
