Aspen and Spruce are harvested from high in the Rocky Mountains.  Spruce is a naturally dry wood; therefore, it does not shrink or crack once manufactured.  Although Aspen is dried after harvested , it retains the same wood characteristics as Spruce.  These woods are very white and also weigh much less than hardwoods. 

For eight years, Jared Williams has worked with Aspen and Spruce logs and lumber.  He built his own log home (pictured at left) and began furnishing the home with the natural beauty of log furniture.  In his spare time he began to build furniture for customers of Newton Log Homes.
